The Lab
Inventum headquarters, also known as “The Lab” was a passion project in architecting a beautiful space out of what used to be a run down auto shop. The starting point for our project was a cluttered, dirty brick and concrete room connected to the back of a Thai restaurant. The end result was beyond what any of us could have hoped for.
humble beginnings
Formerly an auto shop turned dirty storage room. You can see a 360 view of the place here. We needed to clean the place up and get exact measurements for our contractor and structural engineer. While we waited to hear back from them we started ideating how to transform the space.
the agile workflow process
Rapid prototyping was crucial for this project. We had a lease for six weeks in an office downtown, and we needed to get a new office up and running before that lease ended. Below you can see just how quickly I developed dozens of ideas with the ability to change colors and layouts in a flash, until finally arriving to our final design.
